The Impossible Sandwich!

BBC America have announced a bumper evening of Doctor Who goodness on Saturday, April 23 from 8p.m. ET/PT, with the first episode of the new series – The Impossible Astronaut– sandwiched between two documentary specials!

With the first episode kicking off at 9pm ET/PT allowing US fans of the series to welcome back the Doctor, Amy and Rory just a few hours after their UK return, Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill will be joined by Alex Kingston reprising River Song and guest actors that include Mark Sheppard as they travel across 1960s America!

But before that you can tune into Doctor Who Rewind at 8pm, a special look back at all the best places, people and moments from Series 5. Meanwhile after the main feature, enjoy some behind the scenes footage of Doctor Who’s dramatic sixth series in an all-new special, Doctor Who in America.

This is billed as an exclusive look at the making of the season of Doctor Who that will leave everyone talking, and starts at 10pm ET/PT.

Looks like there will be plenty to catch up with that weekend!
