(Note: title does not mean 4 more people watched Doctor Who than last week.) This weekend in France, Doctor Who’s Series 5 finale “La Pandorica s’ouvre” (The Pandorica Opens and The Big Bang) got a nice increase on some of the previous weeks.
While retaining around the same audience share, “La Pandorica s’ouvre” was watched by 340,000 viewers on France 4 on Saturday night – that’s 1.5% of the total audience, and means more French viewers tuned in than the previous week.
The Series 5 audience figures in France have been up and down, with the middle of the series attracting a bit of a slump, so its good to see a strong ending for the episodes which marked the end of Matt Smith’s first full series as the Doctor.
A comparison with previous Series 5 audience figures here can be found at Beans on Toast – meanwhile for a general overview of French audience figures on all the main TV channels on Saturday evening hit tele.premiere.fr/Audience-tele
