The Doctor’s Trip to New Zealand

Former Doctor Who star Peter Davison took quite a trip recently – a 21 hour flight to Australia and New Zealand to venture to a couple of conventions, with his wife and family in tow!

Telling the story of the mammoth trip in the Daily Mail reveals two interesting things:

  • Peter knows the right way to treat jet-lag in his two sons by arranging a stop-off overnight at Sydney where they could enjoy night-time food and shopping.
  • The Fifth Doctor actor has a very engaging style which should prove useful when he eventually publishes his autobiography. Given the number of stage and TV productions he has been involved with over the last 35 years or so, this should prove fascinating.

All in all it seems as though Peter and his family had a great time in New Zealand, with conventions, Lord of the Rings/Chronicles of Narnia landscapes and a visit to Weta thrown in.

Not a bad way to engage with fans from the other side of the world!

Our thoughts are with those affected by the recent Christchurch earthquake.
