Matt Smith Laughs with Walliams

Chatting away nine-to-the-dozen to anyone that would listen to him at the recent Doctor Who Experience launch, Matt Smith has been revealing a few things about the episode that guest stars David Walliams – namely that there are likely to be a few bloopers!

Talking to the legendary lavatory red-top the Daily Star, Smith revealed that he and Walliams had just started filming last week (on an episode by School Reunion writer and Being Human creator Toby Whithouse), just a few months after appearing together on The Graham Norton Show.

“David and I started filming on the episode last week and he is great. He just makes me laugh all the time. He is terribly funny and I am very fond of him.

“I haven’t asked him to do any of the Little Britain voices just yet but I have been asking him lots about that show and Come Fly With Me. I know he is going to be very funny in Doctor Who.”

Meanwhile, in hushed tones, Smith told reporters that he expects to be filming a Doctor Who Christmas special for 2011.

“Steven Moffat has just told me the title of the 2011 Christmas special and I nearly fell off my chair!”

As long as it doesn’t knock any Christmas trees down come broadcast, everything should be fine!
