Bloody Torchwood!

Helicopters! Shoot-outs! Car chases! It can only mean one thing – “Bloody Torchwood” are back in Wales!

Reports have been circulating the web about recent setpieces for Torchwood Series 4 – dubbed Miracle Day - being filmed in the principality as Captain Jack Harkness and Gwen Cooper actors John Barrowman and Eve Myles have been joined by co-star Mekhi Phifer, who will co-star as Rex Matheson.

And following Russell T Davies’ recent chat with BBC News it does seem that Wales has gone a little Torchwood mad.

Action has been taking place across Wales, with Bridgend – seen in Doctor Who as Bad Wolf Bay – also making an appearance.

However it was in a Swansea suburb that most of the recent action has been spotted, with Marian Pettifor, of nearby Frogmore Consulting, observing:

“It’s been very exciting to have a Torchwood scene in Sketty.”

We would wager that Torchwood filming in Sketty is the most interesting thing to have happened in the town since its first settler…
