Big Finish Postal Delays

Some of you regular Big Finish subscribers may have noticed some small delay when receiving CDs this month.

It seems that due to a backlog or CD’s to send out to UK and overseas viewers over Christmas some previous releases, including The Demons of Red Lodge and Other Stories, have yet to arrive on listener’s doorsteps.

This is all down to the problems with the British postal system in the run-up to Christmas – remarkable as it may seem, the Royal Mail is largely unable to deal with the vast majority of post that is sent over the Christmas and New Year period, and sadly the delays with the Big Finish CDs are a result of this.

A message posted on the official Big Finish website stated:

“There was a backlog, especially in overseas deliveries, over the Christmas period and early January, so what appears to have happened is that newly sent post has taken priority while the backlog is sorted out. Thus the new releases are arriving before the older ones. We apologise for the inconvenience and would like to assure everyone that things were sent and are en route; it just may be a little longer before your orders arrive.”

If you do feel that your order has been lost in the post or if you want to find out more, please email [email protected].

You can find out more about the current order status by visiting www.bigfinish.com – incidentally, a second series of Sherlock Holmes audios starring Nick Briggs is set to be released later this year.

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!
