Yet More New Whovians!

Not a day goes by without another handful of thespians joining the Whoinverse. So please put your hands together for this years entrants into Doctor Who Series 6.

Up first is stand up comic Charlie Baker (IT Crowd, Never Mind the Buzzcocks) who’ll be playing the flatteringly titled ‘Fat Man’ according to his page on Debi Allen Associates. As you’d expect, where there’s a ‘fat man’ there’s also a ‘thin man’ who’ll be played by Dan Johnston (After You’ve Gone, The Bill) according to Vic Murray Talent Ltd.

The duo are set to appear in mystery episode directed by Peter Hoar (Spooks, Mistresses) according to yet another agency profile on Curtis Brown Literary and Talent Agency.

And rounding up the whistle-stop tour of agencies, Spotlight have  listed child actors Fern Deacon (Poirot, Gulliver’s Travels) and Frances Encell (Emmerdale, The Royal) as contributing voice work to the latest series.

Oh, they grow up so fast. It only seemed like yesterday these Whovians were playing Shepard no#3 in their Nativity plays.

Doctor Who is expected to air this Spring on BBC 1

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.
