Much Ado About Who

No, they’re not the new BBC One news team – instead, former Doctor Who duo David Tennant and Catherine Tate are reuniting to work on a new play, Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing!

The Doctor-Donna will appear as reluctant lovers Beatrice and Benedick, whose endless witty sparring threatens to keep them apart forever. Much Ado About Nothing also tells the story of two younger lovers, Claudio and Hero, are to be married imminently despite the devious scheming of a resentful prince.

This legendary Shakespeare comedy will be directed by Josie Rourke and opens at Wyndham’s Theatre in London’s West End on June 1st, following previews from 16th May.

Tennant and Tate appeared on BBC Breakfast on Saturday to chat about the play.

We’ll keep you up to date with more news on this reunion as we get it!
