Matt’s Christmas Cheer

Doctor Who star Matt Smith has been dying to make a Christmas special episode – and his dreams were realiased when production completed on A Christmas Carol.

At Monday evening’s BFI screening of the 2010 Christmas special, Smith declared himself “pleased and proud” of the end product.

“I think we achieved something – I don’t know what that is – I hope people have enjoyed it.”

We’re sure the lucky preview screening audience did enjoy it -  but it seems that Matt is also realistic about areas where the regular cast and production team have to develop…

“I think we’re going to get better. I think we know the areas we can improve and the ways in which we want to improve.

“It’s been a learning curve. A very brilliant and informative journey for me professionally and personally. It’s something I shall not forget.”

Interesting comments from the star of the show – looks like Series 6/Season 32 is going to be something to behold!
