Adventure Calendar 2010

Given that it’s been online for a couple of weeks now, we reckon we should acknowledge the existence of the third annual Doctor Who Adventure Calendar on the BBC Website.

For those who don’t remember the last two years, take off the “ure” off “Adventure Calendar” and that’s essentially what you get – a countdown to Christmas, Doctor Who style!

Highlights this year so far include an updated version of last year’s conversation game Doctor in the House (don’t tell us you didn’t play it), a quiz involving lots and lots of fezzes, a couple of slide shows screensavers, and interviews with Dalek/Cyberman/Judoon voice Nick Briggs, Dalek operator Barnaby Edwards, Adventure Games writer Phil Ford, and Katherine Jenkins herself, Katherine Jenkins.  In true Christmas spirit, these interviews will reveal to you that Briggs once attended a Halloween party dressed as a zombie vicar.  And Barnaby Edwards went to a fancy dress party as a mummy.  And Phil Ford went to one as… oh just go find out for yourself!

The BBC also promises some “stunning” new images from Shadows of the Vashta Nerada, the Christmas Adventure Game, later this week.

We’re sure the best is yet to come for the Adventure Calendar, with more Whovian goodness headed our way in these last couple of weeks leading up to December 25th, otherwise known as A Christmas Carol broadcast day!

Patrick Riley

Patrick has just been murdered and is currently seated on the edge of a lawn chair wondering when this Missy person will stop demanding his autograph. He probably can't tweet from the grave, but you should follow him anyway @10PatrickRiley.
