Weeping Angels Fall Behind The Silence?

There’s another monster in the universe and its gunning for the Weeping Angels crown. Matt Smith revealed during The Nerdist podcast that the threat currently bothering he and Amy Pond in Utah will be ‘the best monster since the Weeping Angels.”

Smith said:

“Actually, it’s better than the Angels. You want to see it, it’s the most hideous thing in the world! It’s so clever and part of a big story arc which harks back to Series 5.”

The new nasty also impressed Karen Gillan, who had previously told Steve Wright on BBC Radio 2 that she also thought the monster had knocked the Weepy ones off the top spot.

So are we about to meet The Silence? Well our expectations have just been raised if the stone stalkers can’t compete.
Smith also let slip a few more details about Series 6 including something happening with Miss Pond:

“There’s something going on with Amy and it’s crazy!”

As well as touching on the big issue of Series 6; just who is River Song?

“It’s going to be massive. The Doctor knows she is someone from his future but who?”

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.
