SFX Celebrate Doctor Who!

Does anyone remember the SFX Doctor Who specials that came out a few years ago? They were brilliant and led to much Who found entertainment. Its been such a long while since we’ve been graced with one, that they’ve decided to do it again and boy, does this new publication look like a treat!

Doctor Who – A Celebration is a 132 page titan of a release that is (100% unofficially) going to blow your socks off. Not only do you get the fantastic musings of the SFX team, you also get some free gifts, in the shape of a genuine “cool” bow tie (a real fabric one) and two massive badges to stick to your lapels. The magazine contains articles such as:

EXCLUSIVE CAST INTERVIEWS – with members of the latest series

RTD VS MOFFAT – there’s only one way to find out, fiiiiiight

COSTUME DESIGNS – talk on the work of the costumes of the Eleventh Doctor plus more from the new series

THE FIENDISHLY DIFFICULT DOCTOR WHO PICTURE PUZZLE – a truly brilliant and fun drawing that contains references to 65 Doctor Who stories old and new for you to spot (a bit like Where’s Wally for Doctor Who!)

THE MISSING EPISODES – an in depth look at the 108 missing episodes of the greatest TV show on the planet

WHO’S 25 SILLIEST MOMENTS – a look back at the more embarrassing times from Doctor Who

SERIES SIX PICS – a sneak peak at the new series for 2011 to whet your appetite

SFX Collection: Doctor Who – A Celebration goes on sale on 30th November 2010, priced £7.99. To secure yours, ask your local newsagent to order a copy in – it’s SFX special number 47. A very limited number of copies will be available to purchase online (NB: but not just yet!).

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!
