Its The Invasion All over Again!

In scenes reminiscent of the 1968 episode The Invasion Cybermen stormed our nations capital this morning- marching down the steps of St Paul’s cathedral and riding the tube to the delight/bemusement of commuters.

The publicity stunt was in aid of the brand new Doctor Who Experience – a fully interactive adventure and exhibition opening in London this February.

The Experience, which opens at London’s Olympia Two on February 20th, 2011 will include special effects and specially themed scenes featuring the Doctor himself Matt Smith.

The exhibition itself will chart the entire history of the show, from its inception in 1963 right through to its modern incarnation- including original costumes, a Tom Baker-era TARDIS and Cybermen, Silurians and a Zygon.

You can already book tickets in advance of the February launch click here (Warning: contains monsters young children might find scary!)

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.
