iPhone Game: “Mazes of Time”

According to reports, the new Doctor Who game for iOS devices (iPhone, iPod Touch, iTray iPad) is titled Mazes of Time.

Set to be released on iTunes before Christmas, the game has been developed by Dundee-based Tag Games. The name of the game expected to be kept under wraps for a few days following the press launch on Monday evening, which Kasterborous attended.

A BBC Worldwide spokesman said the broadcaster’s commerical arm is “delighted” with the app and initial reaction.

“We had people down to test it and some other apps, and Doctor Who topped them all.”

A Tag Games spokesman told of the company’s pride in securing this project.

“Doctor Who is the UK’s number one science fiction property, and I think it is in the BBC’s top three for worldwide sales, so it is great to bring it to Dundee – especially in light of what happened at Realtime Worlds and the effect it had on Dundee.”

“It shows there is still something positive we can bring to the sector.”

Tag have also made apps based on the popular Channel 4 shows Come Dine With Me and Peep Show.

Keep you eye out for a Mazes of Time review here on Kasterborous over the next few days!
