Goodnight Barrowman!

Hands up who’s heard of web based comedy Goodnight Burbank? No? Well, it’s not that well know in Britain but it’s starting to get more and more attention the more awards it wins!

The show is a character-driven comedy video podcast that goes behind the scenes of a fake Burbank, CA 11:00PM newscast. All the news used is 100% real. The show throws to real news stories and fictitious correspondents but remains with the anchors, talking in what – to them – are “off-camera” moments. It combines political and social commentary alongside mini story arcs involving the characters, their love lives and their careers.

Written by and starring a chap called Hayden Black, this show is one to watch out for as the news and the laughs keep on coming. Find out more at www.goodnightburbank.com.

But why should you care? You’ve come to Kasterborous to read about Doctor Who related news. Well it just so happens that you’re in luck. Because we have it on very good authority that a certain Time Agent will be making a cameo in one of the episodes. That’s right, captain Jack Harkness himself AKA John Barrowman, is  apparently lined up to feature in a future webcast.

Followers of Barrowman will know that he’s not one to shy away from putting himself out there and also for trying new things. He played a bad guy in the most recent season of Desperate Housewives and also had a “gay off” with Simon Amstell in Never Mind the Buzzcocks. How many actors can have that claim to fame?!

Keep your eyes peeled at Kasterbroous as we will give you exclusive details when we find out more!

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!
