Doctor Who News no image

Doctor Whuurnnghh

Wouldn’t video games like Left 4 Dead and Dead Rising be much more exciting if the zombies were Doctor Who characters?  This is one question that SFX attempted to answer with its recent art/Photoshop competition that provided one simple goal for its entrants: Make Zombie Doctor Who.

The pictures have been submitted, SFX has made its decisions, and now the top five zombies to get the Who treatment – plus ten runners up – have been published.

In no particular order, you’ll see a Draconian, the Fourth Doctor, Sarah Jane Smith, a red Dalek Drone, Rose Tyler, the Eleventh Doctor, Cybermen (including a horde of them attacking a non-zombified Doctor and Amy) and much, much more!  The zombie pic on SFX that really strikes us, however, is the one seen on this page – a movie poster about a zombie Tenth Doctor by Sarah Duff!  Who needs a traditional plot for a Doctor Who movie when we can watch millions fall prey to David Tennant’s corpse?

One of the only treatments we didn’t see was Meredith Burdett’s zombie K-9 idea.  If any of our wonderful readers would like to give us their take on an undead version of everyone’s favourite tin dog, they may do so in the forums.

Now if you’ll excuse us, we’ve got a bit of an outbreak of the living dead surrounding Kasterborous Towers that we really ought to take care of before we’re infectnrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn………
