Doctor Who in Utah!

With filming well underway for the newest series of Doctor Who (Yay!), SFX have found some behind the scenes pictures of the Doctor, Amy and Rory getting themselves into all sorts of mischief.

Pictures include Amy, in a red chequered shirt and skinny jeans, running for her very life, Matt Smith in full costume as the Eleventh Doctor in between takes and very noticeably wearing a cowboy hat (remember Matt talking about how he wanted a hat for the new series? Presumably Steven Moffat must have written this in deliberately!).

Also present at the Utah shoot is Arthur Darvill, obviously playing Rory Williams, taking some time out from filming to sit down and look uber cool in his sunglasses as he enjoys the good weather.

Mix into these pictures some action shots of suspiciously suited “men in black” shooting at what can only be the TARDIS crew and you start to get the ingredients of one very exciting season opener in many years. Maybe even the best since Doctor Who returned to our screens? It is a two parter after all which means the action and threat stakes are going to be very high indeed!

Production on Doctor Who Series 6 started recently with filming on location in Utah, not a lot of details are known about the two part season opener at the moment apart from that it will feature the return of River Song.

More details will come to you as they come to us…

Doctor Who Series 6 will begin in spring 2011

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!

Let the speculation begin! I don’t think Karen has put on that much weight recently, but look – it rather looks like she’s sporting a ‘muffin top’ in that picture. Is she, perhaps, wired to blow? Could this be linked in some way to the stuff on her arms, and the strange looking necklace? Has she been subject to ‘alien abduction’ style experiments maybe?

Don’t ask me, I don’t know. And if I did, I wouldn’t tell. Spoilers, see?
