Christmas is Coming!

Courtesy of the BBC, we’ve got a smashing image from the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas special, A Christmas Carol!

Hopefully you will have already seen the trailer and you will already know that the special – whose exact scheduling is as yet unknown – will feature guest star Sir Michael Gambon as the Scrooge-like Kazran and opera singer Katherine Jenkins as a nice lady who can sing (possibly Kazran’s youthful love interest). Also appearing is the man we call “the hitherto unknown Danny Horn” on account of no one anywhere having ever heard of him before his casting in A Christmas Carol.

As you can see from this great image, there is no sign of Amy and Rory; the newlyweds are in the story, however, make no mistake, and it seems that the Doctor is forced to haunt Kazran in order to save his young companions…

What we would like to say at this point is that you can tune in at 6pm on Christmas day to see Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill in the 2010 Doctor Who Christmas special – but we can’t as no decision has yet been made!

However, we can cross our fingers on this day out of them all – after all, it’s Doctor Who Day!
