Tennant Films DVD Extras!

It seems David Tennant isn’t just content with just being a viewer of Doctor Who since he hung up his brown overcoat. No, he’s back in the Whoinverse shooting footage for a DVD extra set  to appear on the Revistations II boxset  to be released in 2011.

Shot in June, the images  of a  rather dapper Tennant have been posted on Twitter by Freelance Director and Who DVD documentary regular Ed Stradling and feature the former Doctor stood outside both Television Centre and Threshold House – the former production offices for the classic era of the show.

Stradling, whose work has been voted ‘best special feature of the year’ three times by readers of Doctor Who Magazine also recently worked on The Seven Year Itch’, the accompanying documentary for the TV Movie on the first, fantastic Revisitations boxset.

Revisitations Vol 1 is a seven disc beast containing remastered versions of The Caves of Androzani, The Talons of Weng-Chiang and Doctor Who (the Paul McGann-starring TV Movie) all with brand new special features.

The Vol 1 set is available from Amazon for just £28.93.

Keep a watch over @classicdw for more updates on which episodes will appear and just what extra Tennant was working on for the new boxset.

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.
