SFX Doctor Who Zombies

Fancy yourself as a bit of an artist? Then head over to the SFX website to submit your drawing for their latest Doctor Who competition.

The premise is simple, after the good people behind SFX saw a picture drawn by one blogger called Molitorious of a zombified Doctor Spock (from Star Trek) the ideas bell started ringing. Now they want you to submit a zombified Doctor Who picture for their approval.

The article states:

“It could be in the form of a painting, a pen and ink drawing, a cartoon, a pencil sketch, a crude PhotoShop montage… whatever you want. And you don’t have to be the world’s greatest artist – a crude daub that makes us guffaw is just as likely to make the final cut… It doesn’t have to be Matt Smith – it could be Karen Gillan, or old Doctors and companions, or even enemies and monsters – we’d quite like to see a zombie Cyberman, actually. And a zombie Zygon would be wonderfully alliterative.”

The selected winners will be published on the SFX website and maybe even the magazine itself.

So what are you waiting for? Draw up a zombified version of the five Doctors, or Sarah Jane trying to eat Luke’s brains. Or even a poor zombified K9 (ok, I don’t know how that last one qould quite work).

For details of where to send your finished work, visit www.sfx.com, the closing date for the competition is tomorrow 23rd October 2010!

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!
