Those lucky, lucky people who managed to attend the launch of Series 4 of The Sarah Jane Adventures last week were treated to a preview of episodes five and six entitled Death of the Doctor (the swines!).
This much anticipated story is written by stuff of legend Russell T Davies himself and sees Sarah Jane (Elisabeth Sladen) and her Bannerman road gang encounter not only former TARDIS companion Jo Grant (Katy Manning) but also the Eleventh Doctor himself!
Several potential spoilers have been listed that crop up in the episodes and they’re just too juicy not to reprint here. One of them even answers a question that’s been lingering in the collective fandom mind for quite a while now.
If you don’t want to know what they are, don’t follow the instructions below…
Doctors 1, 2, 3, 4, 10 and 11 all make an appearance.
There are mentions of Axons, Azal and Aggedor.
“Smells like roast chicken!”
The Brigadier is still stranded in Peru, while Liz Shaw is on the Moon.
That’s Groske, not Graske.
The Doctor doesn’t have to be white. And he can regenerate more than 12 times – a lot more!
“You look like someone’s baked you!”
Jo Jones (née Grant) has 7 children and (almost) 13 grandchildren.
The Doctor might never look back, but Sarah Jane has discovered some interesting things using Google.
“Accelerate the weave!”
This looks set to be one of the best episodes of The Sarah Jane Adventures yet. Thrills and spills are guaranteed as well as touching bouts of nostalgia for the older Doctor Who fan as we get to see Jo Grant for the first time in over thirty years. Add into the mix the Eleventh Doctor and you’re definitely not going to be disappointed…
