Big Finish Updates

The new Doctor Who releases from Big Finish are now available for your hungry ears on CD and download and there’s a lot going on this month!

From the main series there’s A Death in the Family, continuing the newest Seventh Doctor trilogy. It features Ace, the return of Forty Five’s Word Lord and the Sixth Doctor’s former companion Evelyn Smythe! It also has one or two other familiar faces turning up as well…

The Eighth Doctor (Paul McGann, pictured) continues his latest series of adventures as well with Deimos, set on the moon of Mars. This sees the Doctor and his friend having a spot of bother with some Ice Warriors, who are hell bent on reviving their ancient civilisation.

This month’s Companion Chronicle is the hotly anticipated Invasion of E-Space and features an epic tale told from the viewpoint of the second Romana, played once again by the vibrant Lalla Ward. It’s a special tale as it sees the return of writer Andrew Smith, whose last contribution to Doctor Who was 30 years ago!

Andrew recently chatted to Kasterborous.com about his history in Doctor Who and our full interview will be published soon.

The latest Bernice Summerfield adventure, Escaping the Future, has also been released. Big Finish cryptically put a title over the information in bold typing stating: Prepare for Tragedy. They also remarked:

“One of the TARDIS crew will die… but who will it be?”

Have they been talking to Dalek Caan…?

These new plays are available now on CD and download from Bigfinish.com and will be reviewed by your truly later on in the month.

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!
