Abandoned Dalek Finds Loving Home!

The abandoned Dalek that was found last week in Exeter school has been found a loving and caring home so you can all stop worrying!

His foster father is called John Hadlow, who runs a film and TV memorabilia shop in the local area. According to John, the lonely Dalek (what a great title for a Doctor Who episode!) will eventually be auctioned off to charity. Speaking of his latest acquisition, Hadlow commented:

“I felt so sorry for him being stuck in a school cupboard so I’ve brought him to the shop and he is stood next to the other Dalek… He is also going to have a bit of a refurb and be tidied up… no one has come forward to claim him since the appeal in the Echo so we can only assume he was dumped.”

So there you have it, all’s well that ends well. For those of you who haven’t seen this particular menace from Skaro, it’s a bit of a strange one. It looks like a mix between a pre-Time War Dalek and Dalek Sec from the Void ship of Army of Ghosts and Doomsday.

If you want it, keep an ear to the ground for that auction day…

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!
