Super Doctor Who site Blogtor Who have grabbed a lovely clip from Death of the Doctor, the big event episode from The Sarah Jane Adventures Series 4.
Co-starring Katy Manning as Third Doctor companion Jo Grant and Matt Smith as the Doctor himself, the clip was previewed on CBBC on Friday, and gives us our first peek at the vulture-like Shansheeth!
Written by Russell T Davies, the synopsis is as follows…
“When the Doctor is declared dead, old companions Sarah Jane and Jo Grant meet for the very first time, and join forces to discover the truth. As an interstellar conspiracy gathers around UNIT HQ, Clyde finds that he holds the fate of the Time Lord in his hand – quite literally.”
The series is currently expected to return on Monday, October 11th. Last time around, two episodes were shown each week, which saw the 12 part series completed over six weeks.
As such we can estimate that Death of the Doctor will air on either 25th October or 15th November 2010.
Never thought I’d see a UNIT story with the Eleventh Doctor in it. This should be interesting… Moffat’s Doctor with Davies’ style!
Cant wait. Its these little touches of continuity with the classic series (excluding flashbacks) for each Nu Who Doctor that I’m loving. Now its Matt’s turn. Its like graduation! Brilliant.
