TV Doctor Hearts The Doctor

Former ER heartthrob loves Doctor Who! No, not THAT one (nor even Goran Visnjic) but Noah Wyle, who admitted to io9 that he still has a Doctor Who scarf he had as a teenager.

The actor who played Dr. John Carter on the NBC medical drama for fifteen years confessed that his mother had knitted him a scarf resembling the seemingly endless and inconvenient scarf worn by Tom Baker.

“I still have [the scarf],” he laughed.

And like most Who fans of a certain age he’s already trying to pass on his love of the show to his seven year-old boy but wants to wait until he’s old enough;

“He’s not quite hip to Doctor Who yet,” he explained. “I’m waiting, he’s almost ready.”

Wyle can next be seen in TNT alien invasion drama Failing Skies executive produced by Steven Spielberg.

About

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.
