Karen Gillan Outcast

Amy Pond actress Karen Gillan goes from small screen to big screen this Autumn as a member or the cast of British horror flick Outcast.

Doctor Who star Karen Gillan appears in horror movie OutcastFrom brothers Colm and Tom McCarthy, Outcast features James Nesbitt (from Steven Moffat’s Jekyll) alongside Niall Bruton, Kate Dickie, James Nesbitt, Hannah Stanbridge and our own Ms Gillan.

According to IMDb, the premise of the movie is as follows…

Cathal (Nesbitt) is a killer who is pursuing his former lover Mary (Dickie). Mary, a woman who comes from an ancient and magical celtic race, and her son Fergal (Bruton), hide in an outlying district of Edinburgh and use magic to protect themselves, but Cathal is determined to out smart them.

Local residents begin to die at the hands of an unknown life force, but is Cathal the killer, or is he trying to destroy the beast?

It’s a fascinating idea and should be 2010′s addition to the resurgence in British horror movies over the past 10 years. A preview of Outcast will be screened on Friday, August 27 for Brit horror fans at the FrightFest event.

Meanwhile Karen has been snapped dressed in leather. No, it’s true – just days after we collected a list of recent press reports on her sartorial elegance and typical lifestyle for a lady her age, another one comes along…
