Humble Dave

Actress Suranne Jones has described her Single Father co-star, former Doctor Who David Tennant, as “humble” in a recent interview, reports Digital Spy.

Former Doctor Who David TennantJones, who appeared in Series 3 of The Sarah Jane Adventures as the Mona Lisa, revealed to the Radio Times that Tennant is great to work with.

“Obviously Doctor Who was massive so I was really excited about meeting David. He’s the funniest, most charismatic, intelligent, humble actor.”

The actress also revealed details Single Father.

“[Tennant] plays Dave, recently widowed and struggling to bring up his children, while I play his widow’s best friend. We’re brought together by grief, and emotions get complicated.

“What I love about the drama is that it asks: how would you react in that situation? It’s wonderfully grown-up and it feels authentic.”

Well, while there is no doubt the drama is well cast, from that description it doesn’t exactly seem to be offering the airwaves anything new. Time will tell, of course…
