Egg-sterminate?

I’m afraid there was no avoiding this particular pun – as you can see, this egg-shaped Dalek is pretty cool!

A Dalek eggHowever it seems that over in the USA, a massive recall is in place on millions of eggs that originate from just a couple of farms – eggs infected with the salmonella bacteria which might jog a few memories for us Brits.

Back in the 1980s, around the same time that Doctor Who was entering its “low period”, there was a massive salmonella scare. Egg puns were coming out ten to the dozen – but let’s not forget that people were dying from the virus; children, pregnant women and the elderly.

So wherever in the world you are, if you’re not as fit as you might be, make sure you cook your eggs properly!
