BBC to Air Doctor Who Prom

An hour-long edit of the Doctor Who Proms event that took place on July 24th at the Albert Hall is set to air on BBC Three in September.

Doctor Who stars Matt Smith and Karen GillanThat’s right – if you missed out on the event, broadcast on BBC Radio 3, you can catch up with the live appearance of Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill as hosts both in and out of character as the Doctor, Amy and Rory.

Leading up to the broadcast at 8.30pm on September 6th will be a repeat of Series 5/Season 31 finale The Big Bang, as well as a repeat of Doctor Who’s Greatest Moments (which on its original broadcast could have been titled “David Tennant’s Greatest Moments”).

Whether or not the event will have a DVD release as an extra is as yet unknown – however a TV broadcast is a step in the right direction!
