Glee-fully Barrowman!

“And Barrowman looked out over the breadth of his publicity and wept for there were no more shows/media outlets to conquer…”

HTorchwood star John Barrowman, about to break into song. Again.ere at JohnBarrowmanNews.com (have you gone mad? – Ed) we can’t wait to hear what our favourite (group) Captain is up to – and allegedly he may be tapping his toes and singing his way over to the set of Glee.

As reported earlier this month Barrowman had met with the producers of the global hit, stating his dream to play one of Racheal Berry’s (Lea Michele) Gay dads. Barrowman had told Now magazine that:

“I met with their casting people and I said I’d love to be in it. The ball’s in their court, though.”

It seems that ball has come top-spinning its way back to Barrowman now those initial talks have developed into…well talks, for an unspecified role in a future episode.

Previously Producer Ian Brennan had denied that Barrowman had been in touch. Asked if any contact had been made, he replied:

“Not that I know of! It would be exciting though. It’s not like we’re dying to get guest stars, because we have a pretty good cast as it is.”

Glee, the global smash post-modern-love it or want it to drown  in its own smugness,  musical follows the fortunes of a high school show choir as they belt out old show stoppers and chart toppers and is set to return on 21st September.

Aside from returning to Torchwood for the fourth season as (Group) Captain Jack Harkness, Barrowman will be badgering the producers of Holby City for the role of Jazz harmonica player whose hands are blow off in an ‘unfortunate kettle incident’ and will be presenting the BBC’s A Journey for Jake; a talent show where Barrowman plums the depths of Britain to search for a star to fill the role of Jake for a Blues Brothers musical I just made up (nurse, he’s gone again! – Ed).

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.
