The Sun has reported that a Doctor Who themed Simpsons episode is being hoped for by fans of Doctor Who and some devotees have even gone as far as drawing some fantastic pictures of what the results could look like if the Doctor, Amy and some old enemies got “Springfield-ised”.

Doctor Who, The Simpsons styleThe drawings emerged at the recent Comic-con held in San Diego and included drawings of a weeping angel and a Dalek. Sources at the BBC remarked that they were “impressed” by the images but have no plans as yet to cross the two worlds together.

One insider remarked:

“It’s great that people in the US love Matt and Karen… getting the two iconic shows together is a fun idea. But it’s not something in the pipeline at the moment.”

This coincides with a report called “Homer Who?” that Kasterborous’ own Andrew Reynolds wrote last week about the emergence of these drawings.

So what are your thoughts people? Too soon to be making light of our favourite show or just the publicity boost it needs stateside?

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!
