…as are Phil Collinson and Gareth Hunt, if the world of slightly wonky Doctor Who figures is to be believed!

Legend reports that the Fourth Doctor doll released by Denys Fisher in the late 1970s had the head of The New Avenger’s Gambit (Gareth Hunt) following an accident with the original mould. Apparently they had similar hairstyles…

In 2005, the Ninth Doctor/Slitheen walkie talkie set featured a 12″ Doctor Who that resembled series producer Phil Collinson rather than star Christopher Eccleston.
And now, in 2010, a brand new Planet of Fire-themed twin pack of Fifth Doctor and Master features a Doctor who strikingly resembles not Peter Davison (although the Anthony Ainley Master looks fine) but Conservative leader and Prime Minister of Great Britain, David Cameron!
Doctor Who fans are baffled by this release – and it does raise some interesting questions as to the requirements for licensed manufacturers to attempt to render a reasonable looking figure, one that at the very least should look like the person it is allegedly modelled on!
The new Fifth Doctor and Master Planet of Fire double pack is available exclusively from Forbidden Planet for £24.99.

I had one of those Tom Baker dolls-I wish I had kept it now.
The DC resemblence is astonishing. Maybe they should do a two pack exclusive with DC and Nick Clegg.
Although then again maybe not.
The newly-regenerated Castrovalva 5th Dr is also available.
Now if only they’d release the 4th Dr in that burgundy outfit….
I think the “Gareth Hunt” Fourth Doctor doll looks more like Chubby Brown, to be honest…
Am I the only one who can hear the dulcet tones of David Dickinson when I look at that 4th Doctor doll? Same hairstyle and complexion….
