Cybermen on Big Finish

Doctor Who - Legend of the Cybermen from Big FinishOut in July from Big Finish is Legend of the Cybermen, a thrilling new Doctor Who adventure starring Colin Baker as the Doctor, Frazer Hines as Jamie McCrimmon… and someone else!

Written by Mike Maddox, the adventure is directed by Nicholas Briggs who also features as the Cybermen voices…

The Cybermen are on the march through the Hundred Realms, killing and converting as they go. Resistance is useless.

Trapped on the outermost fringes of the battle, the Doctor and Jamie are astonished to encounter an old friend: astrophysicist Zoe Heriot.

It’s the happiest of reunions. But what hope is there of a happy ending against the unstoppable Cybermen?

Starring Colin Baker and Frazer Hines as the Doctor and Jamie, Legend of the Cybermen also stars Wendy Padbury reprising Zoe Heriot, who like Jamie was last seen on TV at the conclusion of The War Games in 1969 (phantoms in the Death Zone notwithstanding).

Look out for our review of the episode this weekend – meanwhile, Legend of the Cybermen is available from Big Finish on CD and download.

One Response to Cybermen on Big Finish

  1. Pete says:

Zoe was last seen like Jamie at the end of The War Games? Are we speaking chronologically in their personal timeline? Remember Jamie was actually last seen in The Two Doctors…and to be pedantic we must acknowledge the “Season 6B” possibility (also made part of the unofficial canon by being the case in Terrance Dicks own Missing Adventures Past Doctors book!) that Jamie rejoined the Second Doctor and thus his and the Docs older appearance in TwoDoctors (lack of decent makeup/cgi at the time to hide this accompanied by the uber anachronistic blatant reference to the Time Lords by Jamie and the Doctor at the opening of Two Doctors! :-)
