Moffat’s Favourite?

The Eleventh Hour? Flesh and Stone? Or The Big Bang? It’s not just viewers who struggle to pick their favourite Who episodes from this season.

Being a polite chap, Big Boss of Doctor Who Steven Moffat told his son Joshua (who interviewed him via a video uploaded to YouTube under the alias ‘armytedd’) just after Saturdays The Big Bang had aired that he can’t decide his favourite and changes his mind with each new episode.

“Well yeah but you see, that’s not my judgement, other people make that judgement. Other people decide if it was good or not and that’s quite a nerve-wrecking feeling, so suddenly it’s out of your hands. An hour ago that felt like all mine, my secret, now everybody else has seen it and I don’t know what they’re going to think. I hope they are going to like it.”

Like most Who fans Moffat believes that time between the opening and closing credits is sacrosanct.

“Obviously being a long-term Doctor Who fan I go inside and watch it and get very grumpy if people interrupt me!”

About

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.
