Mark Gatiss Live
Doctor Who writer and some time guest star Mark Gatiss will be making an appearance at The Space (a monthly arts and entertainment event) in Brighton in August 2010, SFX have reported.
Famous in Doctor Who circles for writing The Unquiet Dead (2005), The Idiots Lantern (2006) and most recently Victory of the Daleks (2010), he has also starred as age-obsessed Professor Lazarus in The Lazarus Experiment (2007). Gatiss has also written several Doctor Who fiction books in the 90’s.
Outside of the science fiction world he is best known for creating and writing The League of Gentlemen-a macabre comedy series that aired on BBC2 in the late 90’s.
Mark is currently working on Sherlock, a modern day take on Sherlock Holmes, which he co-created with Doctor Who executive Producer and Head Writer Stephen Moffat. The series is due out this Summer.
This promises to be a great event and with laughs a plenty and some interesting anecdotes to be heard. This August event also includes an appearance from Academy Award nominated visual effects supervisor Paul Franklin (The Dark Knight, Kick-Ass, Harry Potter, Hell Boy). Tickets are £7.50 and the event starts at 7:30pm in The Basement, Kensington Street, Brighton.
