Doctor Who actress Karen Gillan has revealed that she is thrilled with the public’s reaction to her in the latest series of Doctor Who.
Karen, who plays Amy Pond in the new series, added she was surprised that the fans were taking the changes so well:
“We are all really quite taken aback at how positive it’s been, actually, we didn’t expect it to go down that well.
“Especially when the first episode came out, it was quite overwhelming actually. So I’m just thrilled. I’m really, really happy.”
Gillan went on to say that she was very much looking forward to filming Doctor Who’s new series this year:
“I can’t wait for season six. It’s going to be so much fun. And I really miss Matt and I miss the Doctor.”
With the new Doctor Who family enjoying themselves so much, let’s hope that we have many more series with them for years to come.

Hear, hear!
She evidently hasn’t been reading the same forums *I* have. Reaction to her and her whiny character have been a very mixed bag, at best.
Perhaps Ms Gillan hasn’t been reading any forums, and is instead basing her beliefs on real world experiences…?
