BAFTA TARDIS Explained

Former Doctor Who star Peter Davison

SFX online have released some nifty pictures from the BAFTA awards of some familiar faces exiting the TARDIS doors.

Several celebrities cast their famous shadows over our favourite blue doors. First out was Tim Burton- Director of Batman, Edward Scissorhands and Alice in Wonderland and whose influence has been nodded towards for the current “feel” of the new series. Next in line, looking far less Docterish than his last appearance in 2007’s Time Crash was Fifth Doctor himself Peter Davison.

Following on were two of the gorgeous girls form BBC’s Being Human (both of whom have starred in episodes of Doctor Who and the series itself is written by Toby Whitehouse who wrote 2006’s School Reunion and 2010’s Vampires in Venice.

Finally emerged pint pot legend Barbara Windsor, star of Eastenders and who filmed a cheeky cameo for 2006’s Army of Ghosts.

SFX commented that the line up of emergees seemed a little inexplicable but it looks like the BBC had a linking theme all along, Doctor Who!
