News of Doctor Who Live has set the creative juices running at SFX, where they’ve put together a couple of lists…
The first is a list of all of the spin-off media that Doctor Who has appeared on – there’s no way they could get them all in there of course, and a few are missed out. However scan the list for mentions of pantomimes, movies, cartoons, webcasts, RPGs and more.
Just as interesting meanwhile is their list of alternative genres for Doctor Who to invade…
Ice dance extravaganza – The Ice Warriors invade the Ood homeworld. The Doctor saves the day by creating a time vortex with triple-axel. Amy nearly freezes to death because she’s Scottish and refuses to wear a coat like shandy drinking Southerners
An Andrew Lloyd Webber Musical – “The Caves Of Androzani†gets West End treatment, following a 10-week Saturday night TV show to cast the Doctor. Unforgettable rhyming couplets include the Doctor’s “I’m not going to let you stop me now/Damn we’ve hit a planet, ow!â€, “Change my dear, not a moment too soonâ€/“Oh crap, now you’re just an obnoxious buffoon†and “Once I was comely, a beautiful toff/Now I’m a Phantom Of The Opera rip-off.â€
