Kasterborous Needs You!
As one of our regular contributors Kevin Roth heads off for pastures new (good luck!), we’re hoping to bring in one or two new contributors to focus on sourcing and reporting Doctor Who news.
Since Kasterborous launched, contributors and key personnel have gone on to do paid, professional work as a direct consequence of having their work published here. Co-founder and designer of our site Anthony Dry has contributed custom artwork for the majority of the DVD boxsets since 2005, while Kevin Roth has won himself a copy-writing job. Meanwhile I’ve had quite a few freelance gigs, thanks to Kasterborous…
What’s in it for You
Let’s sort this bit out first – sadly, there is no cash involved. This isn’t great, however there is a chance for you to get Doctor Who paraphernalia sent to you for reporting and reviewing purposes.
In return, you will get your own profile page (and in the meantime, if required, a link back to your own blog) on Kasterborous as well as first dibs on any review material that gets sent out to us, as well as an @kasterborous.com email address. Previous contributors have also been afforded reduced/free entry to Doctor Who events…
The ideal person for this role would be someone with time to send over 200-300 word news items once a day or so, as well as an interest in reviewing once a week. All material written by you would also be accessible via your profile page. It doesn’t matter where in the world you’re based, either, thanks to the World Wide Web!
So, if you’re in a position to submit short news items, reviews and generally join our team (which largely consists of me, Christian Cawley, with Brian Terranova as Associate Editor, plus James Whittington as a regular reviewer) and are looking for a way into writing professionally, stop reading and drop me a line – firstname.lastname@example.org
