Barrowman/ Boyle Duet?

Former Doctor Who companion and Torchwood star John Barrowman has certainly been doing the rounds lately – the latest story from the Captain Jack Harkness actor is that he wants to do a duet with Susan Boyle.

John Barrowman up for SuBo duetBarrowman is certainly keeping himself busy while the world waits for a new series of Torchwood – his musical career remains steady, and it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch of the imagination to see him outclassed by singing with SuBo.

“My record company is Sony and her label, Syco, is a division of Sony. So when I was putting my album together, we put it in the mix that I’d have loved to have sung a duet with her.

“It didn’t happen and rightly so because they were very focused on the solo end of her career.

“But now, bring it on. Susan, give us a call. I’d happily sing with you.”

He’s full of energy, isn’t he? John Barrowman certainly isn’t work-shy (let’s face it, he’s not shy at all!)

Unlike certain other celebrities, Barrowman – currently appearing in Desperate Housewives – is full of praise for Boyle, who didn’t even win Britain’s Got Talent yet became a worldwide sensation.

“Her dream came true. To come from where she did and become a worldwide, overnight success. That’s amazing. Good luck to her.”

Let’s hope she’s up to it…
