Amy’s Choice Preview

Doctor Who takes a change of pace next week – a bizarre, dual world scenario which brings the time travellers into contact with the mysterious Dream Lord.

The Dream Lord in Doctor Who - Amys ChoiceAlongside Amy Pond (Karen Gillan) and the Doctor (Matt Smith), Amy’s fiance Rory (Arthur Darvill) is on hand in the TARDIS following a quick pickup at the beginning of Vampired of Venice

It’s been five years since Amy Pond last travelled with the Doctor, and when he lands in her garden again, on the eve of the birth of her first child, she finds herself facing a heartbreaking choice – one that will change her life for ever.

Also starring Toby Jones as the Dream Lord, Amy’s Choice seems on first glance to be a sort of cross between 2008’s Turn Left and Forest of the Dead – written by Men Behaving Badly creator Simon Nye, it is likely to be pretty fascinating, if not a little disturbing in places…

First viewing of Amy’s Choice is on BBC One next Saturday evening at 6.25pm, with a planned simulcast on the BBC HD channel, the BBC’s High Definition channel which is available via Freesat, Sky and Virgin Media.
