The Eleventh Hour @ 6.25pm?

Matt Smith as the Doctor in The Eleventh HourPopular website Den of Geek report that The Eleventh Hour is scheduled to air at 6.25pm on Saturday, 3rd April – although the BBC are yet to confirm the timeslot for the return of Doctor Who.

The BBC Press Office currently lists The Eleventh Hour as “Unplaced” – indicating that scheduling is yet to be confirmed. This can be  for a myriad of reasons, from potential overlap with sporting events to foxing the competition on ITV.

Running to 60 minutes, The Eleventh Hour stars Matt Smith in his debut adventure as the Eleventh Doctor and Karen Gillan as Amy Pond. True to its title, the episode is also an hour long – possibly affecting the time slot. Usually, episodes are tailored to sit in a 45 minute slot, so hopefully subsequent episodes will be able to find a settled place in the schedules.

6.25pm of course is around the same timeslot many classic Doctor Who episodes aired, particularly during the Tom Baker era. Happy days…

(Incidentally, that particular link to Den of Geek features some new images from The Eleventh Hour.)

Update – The Eleventh Hour @ 6.20pm!

Following the above news item, it has since been reported on GallifreyNewsBase that The Eleventh Hour will be broadcast at 6.20pm on Saturday, 3rd April – information that can be corroborated by the Radio Times.

Time to get the Sky+ warmed up!
