The Doctor Crash Lands

the crashed TARDISOne of the enduring scenes from The Eleventh Hour will no doubt be the TARDIS crashlanding and causing a small crater in Amy Pond’s garden – so it makes sense that the press launch for the new Doctor Who made use of this scene.

A recreation of the prone TARDIS in Amy’s garden was created outside the press launch venue – and as you can see here it looks pretty smashing, with a new version of the police box mounted, glowing and smoking at passers-by.

There can have been no doubt where the press launch was taking place!

According to newspaper the Daily Mail, the new TARDIS features additional rooms:

“…extending out of the main control centre and includes a variety of bizarre gadgets such as hot and cold bath taps, a typewriter and a morse code machine.”

We’ll have to wait and see just how impressive the new TARDIS interior is – the Doctor will step into the regenerated time machine at the end of The Eleventh Hour, on Saturday, 3rd April on BBC One.
