More James Corden

James Corden appearing in Doctor WhoComedy actor and writer James Corden was on the set of Doctor Who for the first time yesterday as he took part in the filming of an as-yet untitled episode.

Speaking to Richard Bacon on BBC Five Live earlier this week, Corden revealed:

“Well, I’m about to start an episode of Doctor Who tomorrow, and I’ve also started writing something else for the BBC.”

There’s no word yet as to how significant the Gavin & Stacey stars part in this Eleventh Doctor adventure is, or if he shares scenes with Matt Smith or Karen Gillan.

Corden first came to prominence (after a shaky start in Hollyoaks) in Fat Friends in 2001 before becoming one of The History Boys on both stage, radio and screen; from here he then worked with Fat Friends co-star Ruth Jones to write the inexplicably popular Gavin & Stacey, which ended recently.
