K9 Launches in the UK

K9 and future companyRiding on the coat tails of Doctor Who’s return this weekend, the K9 adventure series premieres on the Disney XD channel in the UK on Saturday, 3rd April at 4pm

Also launching in Australia the same day (9.30am on the TEN network), the live action/CGI adventures of the Doctor’s tin dog have already aired in Scandinavia, where the series launched in January.

While initial fears about the series were magnified following some early footage in 2009, there is a more positive expectation for the series following the casting of veteran K9 voice actor John Leeson and an interview with Bob Baker in a recent edition of Doctor Who Magazine.

Set in a near-future ravaged by global warming, K9 was filmed between December 2008 and May 2009 in Brisbane, Australia, but stories are based in the UK.

You can see synopses for each of the episodes, as well as find out about the characters and the monsters at www.k9official.com.
