I Give Everything

Matt Smith IS the Doctor!Matt Smith has revealed how dedicated he is to Doctor Who, in the latest leaked snippet from his interview with Esquire (on sale Friday, 5th April).

For him, there is no fear in rising to the challenge of taking on such a popular and iconic role – and let’s face it, in the wake of David Tennant he’s got quite a job to make the Eleventh Doctor as memorable as the Tenth.

Smith’s one aim when working on Doctor Who is, he says:

‘…Just to give everything I have to this show.

‘I go in, do 14 hours on set, then come home and learn lines. I’m saying reams of mad dialogue, and you can’t blag that, you have to know it inside out.’

36 years ago a little known actor called Tom Baker took over from the most popular (and longest running) Doctor to date, Jon Pertwee – and became even more popular and longer running! Don’t rule anything out in the worlds of Doctor Who – Matt Smith has every chance of being as popular as David Tennant.
