Get Cribbins into the Charts!

As we reported a few weeks ago, a campaign to get eternally popular Doctor Who co-star Bernard Cribbins into the charts with one of his classic hits is gathering pace – and by purchasing a download of “Right Said Fred” next week you can help!

Co-ordinated by comedia Charlie Ross, the campaign requires that as many people as possible purchase a download of the comic track cetween the 7th and the 12th March for inclusion in that weeks charts, announced on Sunday, 14th March.

“Right Said Fred” is probably the most famous song of Cribbins’ 1962 pop career – produced by George Martin (then better known for producing comedy records by The Goons than the Beatles) the track wasn’t however his most successful.

1962     “Hole In The Ground”     #9
1962     “Right Said Fred”     #10
1962     “Gossip Calypso”     #25

Of course, getting the song into the charts nearly 50 years later would be a great achievement!

Join the group today – and don’t forget to download “Right Said Fred” next week!
