Doctor Who Press Launch Today!

Doctor Who press launchPress and stars of Doctor Who are on on their way to Cardiff today to enjoy the press launch for the new series, set to kick off on Saturday, 3rd April with The Eleventh Hour!

An almost annual event, it is at the press launch that many of the interviews you will see and hear over the next few weeks will take place, not to mention preview articles and reviews in magazines and newspapers.

Look out for appearances on BBC TV from Lizo Mbiza, particularly on the BBC News Channel around 6.30 when he expects to be interviewing Matt Smith and Karen Gillan.

Meanwhile, today is pretty much D-Day for spoilerphones – the leaks are going to start appearing from early evening onwards, so, if you want to keep The Eleventh Hour special beyond the eleventh hour and right up until broadcast, its time to switch on your games console and stay off the web!

Running to 60 minutes, The Eleventh Hour stars Matt Smith as the Doctor and Karen Gillan as Amy Pond, and is written by Steven Moffat. The stars will be touring the UK in two weeks time to promote the episode with preview showings in several cities around the  country in the BBC Outreach bus, while magazine and TV appearances have already been arranged – Matt Smith is a guest on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross on Friday 26th.
