Dedicated Doctor

New Doctor Who star Matt Smith has revealed how far his dedication to researching the role of the Time Lord has taken him – he’s even written his own stories!

While Doctor Who stars writing their own adventures is nothing new (see Tom Baker and Ian Marter’s Doctor Who Meets Scratchman) it is great to see how the new star of the series has embraced the iconic role.

“I wanted to feel like Doctor Who, understand where he’d come from, so I wrote stories of the Doctor and Einstein in Egypt, which focused on their roles in the creation of the Pyramids.”

“I had six months prep before we began filming so it gave me time to write quite a few stories.”

I don’t imagine we’ll ever see these tales reach the screen – but I wonder how much they would fetch on eBay…?
