The Power of Doctor Who

David Tennant in The End of TimeBlogger TenthDoctorFan on tv.com (a website about TV) has revealed how they became a Doctor Who fan just a few weeks ago, during broadcast of The End of Time.

While TenthDoctorFan is evidently smitten in some way by David Tennant’s portrayal of the Tenth Doctor, it seems that this individual has some bad history with Doctor Who – fear of the theme tune around 30 years ago.

Yet the BBC promotion and ubiquity of David Tennant seems to have gained the show at least one new fan, with the thrill and emotion of The End of Time prompting the viewer to splash out on all four series of Doctor Who since 2005.

For a show I had not cared for or a character I had not come to know that well, I found myself very emotional during the last 20 minutes until tears did flow.

This was purely down to the strength of performance by the cast and of course David…

It just brings a tear to your eye, doesn’t it?
